Tropical Paradise Garden Luau, Kauai

The torches are lit, the night is filled with music, and family members gather for a relaxing and romantic dining experience that starts off with the ‘Imu’ ceremony - the unearthing of the traditional pig, cooked to perfection in an underground oven.

A Luau is a traditional Hawaiian celebration. To call it a feast would be to dramatically sell it short. It is a unique festival whereby skills are taught, exchanged or challenged. It is where tribes would prime their young, welcome guests or simply have a good time! Food is at the heart of a luau and music is at its soul. Traditional songs and chants (known as mele) are performed as well as the lyrical sway of the Hawaiian hula, the colourful precision of the Tahitian drum dances and the fiery emotion of the Samoan fire knife dance.

The luau meal features traditional luau favorites, including Kalua pig roasted in the earthen imu oven. Other favourites include beef teriyaki, chicken adobo, and sweet’n’sour mahimahi. Sample some ono local specialties like lomi salmon, fresh poi, Hawaiian sweet potato, mac salad, namasu salad and scrumptious tropical deserts!
